sketchbook page: trees and men

This harks from a long while back, but it still works for me. I had the strange thought of taking dead people, and plant them in the ground with a tree, or find a way to make a tree to grow around them. This is what I wish it would look like, but really, it would probably look more like a rotting corpse, half eaten by foxes and crows, and a small sapling growing near to the cadaver. The lower man is something that just popped out of the paper. I particularly like the shading to the right side of his torso, but alas, he is unfinished. I might work on that later.
